A smoothie is a great way to start the day, if like me, you are not a breakfast person. It is also a great way to get fresh fruits and veggies into your diet.
I like my smoothies to be simple, only incorporating a few ingredients into them. Many recipes for smoothies I see on other blogs have a long list of ingredients that you need to make a special trip to the health food store for. This just is not realistic for most people, and it definitely is not for me now that I have a toddle in tow. So, I began concocting my own easy breezy smoothie recipes that are simple, healthy and delicious!
In this particular recipe, you can use frozen or fresh berries. Personally, I really enjoy the texture of the shake with fresh berries. If you choose to use frozen berries, expect a much thicker smoothie.
