The Best Beet Juice
  1. Prepare the beets by first trimming the greens away from the beet close to the top of the beet. Leave the stalks of the greens. Soak the beet greens in cold water to get rid of trapped sand.
  2. Chop the top and bottom off the beet. Peel the beet. Cut it small enough to fit in juicing shoot. Prepare the apple and cucumber.
  3. Depending on the size of your juicer, you may have to use a smaller cup and pour into a larger container like a mason jar.
  4. Begin juicing by pushing the beet greens first. Next, juice the beets and apples. Lastly, juice the cucumber to help push out the beet juice. (Optional: Pour 4 to 6 oz of water to flush out the machine. Most machines tell you not to do this, so do it at your own risk. I do it because it pushes any juice left in the machine out.)
  5. Put a lid on your container, shake to combine. Enjoy! Juice can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 1-2 days in an air tight container.
