I have been reading about drinking chlorophyll for a while. I easily bruise, so among my research for natural ways to help with anemia, I have come across drinking chlorophyll. I never really understood what it meant so I always read over it. Recently I was watching a YouTube video where the girl was going on a rant about tiny houses and how stupid they are. It was super funny- I wanted to share the link but she since has closed her account. In her videos, I noticed she was always drinking this green drink. Finally, she had a video about it. She drinks chlorophyll and raved about how amazing it was.
Naturally, I hopped over to Amazon and ordered some chlorophyll – see here . The brand Benevolent that I ordered claims that chlorophyll does the following:
- “The “BLOOD” of Plants. Great for body cleansing, detoxification, decreases bad breath & body odor, improves athletic performance, altitude sickness prevention, fights fatigue, increases energy, shortness of breath, great antioxidant.*
- SOME BENEFITS may include-, digestion, arthritis, anti-aging, absorbed, strong, hormonal balance, deodorizing, inflammatory, minerals, sinusitis, oral, hemoglobin, antiseptic, arthritis, health ph levels, herb, mint herbs, body, liver, water, day, sodium, diet, suppresses hunger.*
- LIKE IRON, Chlorophyll helps the body build red blood cells and thus increases oxygen availability. It energizes and revitalizes the body and is helpful for fatigue, asthma, intense physical exertion.”
It has been a few weeks since I started drinking it and I can definitely see a difference in my energy levels and alertness. I feel “on”. It is great!
In addition, I am allergic to formaldehyde so am unable to dye my hair. Unfortunately, I have started seeing a bunch of gray hairs growing in. Gross! Supposedly, going gray early can be an indication that your blood is unhealthy, hence my anemia and bruises all over my body. So, I am hoping the chlorophyll reverses the gray hairs! I will do a follow-up post to see if works!
DIY MASON JAR DRINK CUP: Take a large mason jar. You can get them anywhere this time of year, especially food stores for under a $1. Have someone handy drill a hole in the lid, big enough for a straw. Voila! You’re very own to-go mason jar drink cup.
Have you tried drinking chlorophyll? Have you noticed any health benefits?
UPDATE: After drinking the chlorophyll water for a bit, I noticed a metal task in my mouth. After researching, I believe the chlorophyll was making a metal filling leach due to its detox properties. So, if you have metal fillings you may want to reconsider drinking this. I stopped and it took a few weeks for the metal taste to go away.
